Course: Experiments in Art and Social Practice

My students collaborated with the department of Public History at UNCG and the Greensboro’s International Civil Rights Museum to develop a responsive public satellite exhibition to the national series “States of Incarceration”.

As artists, we utilized printed media to create engaging installations. Each kiosk highlighted work of an artist or collective that is addressing mass incarceration and prison abolition. We also programmed various public talks and discussions to create dialogue about social justice, racism, and mass incarceration.
