The Super G Experiential Residency Program
The Super G Experiential Residency Program was an active national residency program located inside and international food market that I co-founded in 2010 with Donovan McKnight, local community organizer.
The Super G invites both artists and non-artists alike to develop projects directed towards the production of experience. Residents used the opportunity to explore the Super G Market, create public events, offer temporary services, and engage with community.
The Super G Experiential Program explored a hybrid use of public space, urban planning, social design, and participatory learning. Students and faculty from UNCG became integrated into the programming. New connections were made that led to civic initiatives, partnerships, collaborations, and inclusive public pedagogy.
