Welcome to your final web design assignment! In this project, you’ll collaborate with ChatGPT and other AI tools as you build a professional 4-page website using HTML and CSS.

Assignment Instructions

  • Choose a topic for your website.
  • Outline the structure by planning four pages and their respective content (e.g., Home, About, Services, Contact).

2. Design and Aesthetics

  • Define the visual style of your site, including fonts, color schemes, and layout.

3. HTML and CSS Implementation

  • Start by creating the basic HTML structure for each page, including necessary elements like headers, navigation, and footers.
  • Collaborate with ChatGPT or other AI tools to add CSS styles and layout to your HTML structure.

4. Content Integration

  • Write the content for each page, including text, headings, and other information.
  • Integrate images, videos, or other media to enhance the appeal of your website.
  • Work with ChatGPT to incorporate the content into your HTML layout effectively.

5. Functional Elements

  • Experiment by asking ChatGPT or other AI to help create interactive elements, such as navigation menus, forms, sliders, or buttons.

Prompt example for collaborating with ChatGPT:

    • "Can you help me create a responsive navigation menu for the (insert your page titles) items?"

IMPORTANT: Make this assignment an experiment with collaboration!

You will be evaluated based on three criteria:

  1. Website functionality and design (40%)
  2. Effort (40%)
  3. Collaboration with AI tools (20%)

Aim to create a functional, well-designed site. Be intentional with your use of AI tools to write code that enhances your website. After finishing, send an email detailing how ChatGPT or other AI tools contributed to your project.

Submission Requirements

  • Organize your files in a folder (directory) with:
    • HTML pages
    • A linked CSS file
    • A folder containing images
  • When complete, compress the folder, title it, and send it to lmwalton@uncg.edu.

Good luck on your web design journey!
